Douglas Surber
August 18, 1928 — December 25, 2010
Mr. Douglas Wilder Surber, 82 of Cook Branch, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 in the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville.
He was born in North Holston, Virginia on August 18, 1928, a son of the late Albert and Ruby Chapman Surber.
Mr. Surber was retired from Firestone in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Salt Lick Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, sports and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tony Surber who passed away on June 17, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Surber, one son, Gregory Surber of Mansfield, Ohio, one brother, Donald Surber and his wife, Brenda of Mansfield, Ohio and two grandchildren, Cameron and Kyra.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Salt Lick Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Lands officiating.
