Mrs. Dorothy Leen Flack Parker, 81, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Morehead.

She was born on October 21, 1934 in Nicholas County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John Henry and Lizzie Jane Flack.

Dorothy worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at Life Care Center, as well as, a private caregiver.

She was a member of the Rock Fork Gospel Tabernacle and she enjoyed riding the city bus to the Community Soup Kitchen and Downtown BP station, to sit and chat with her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Parker, who passed away on June 9, 1990, one son, Vess Parker, three brothers, Eugene Flack (at the age of 13), Franklin (Eva Joyce) Flack and Emery (Thelma, still surviving) Flack, two sisters, Katherine (Arthur) Mason and Mildred (Charles) Bradford and step-daughter, Kathy Parker Stanley.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Millard) DeHart and Wilma Hernandez, one son, Jimmie Dean Parker, one step-son, Roger Dean Parker, four grandchildren, Joshua, Darrin, Stephanie and Rania Parker, nine great-grandchildren, K-Dyn, Alex, Kerri, Leland, Orien, Lydia, Kasandra, Ronan and Tobias and daughter-in-law, Melissa Parker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Ray Glover and Brother Lansford May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Happy Hollow Union Cemetery in Tollesboro, Kentucky.

Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Josh, Darrin and Stephanie Parker and nephews, Larry Mason, Darrell Flack and Timmy Flack and honorary pallbearers will be nephew, Bobby Bradford, granddaughter, Rania Parker, Joe Odicta and Ronnie Logan.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, Morehead, Kentucky to help with her funeral expenses.
