Mr. Don Sparkman, Age 71 of Farmers passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the Select Speciality Hospital at Good Samaritan in Lexington.

He was born February 7, 1939 in Knott County, Kentucky to the late Kermit and Margaret Moore Sparkman.

He was a retired construction worker having done maintenance and welding in a auto parts factory in Indiana.

He was of the baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and especially University of Kentucky Basketball.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Lon Sparkman and a brother Von Sparkman.

Survivors include his wife Debbie Johnson Sparkman, one son Kenneth Glen Sparkman of Farmers, Kentucky, three daughters; Donna Lorraine Sparkman of Farmers, Amanda Ella Sparkman of Dayton, Ohio and Crystal Dawn Stiddom of Owingsville, Kentucky, one brother, Fairl Sparkman of McMinnville, Tennessee and Seven sisters; Billie Klaiber and Gertrude Slone of Marion, Ohio, Beulah Walker of Farmers, Kentucky, Avanell Kidd of McDowell, Kentucky, Jayne Martin of Huntertown, Indiana, Berniece Coburn of Bloomington, Indiana and Teresa Sparkman of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

Three Grandchildren, James Michael Stiddom, Sueanna Lynn Alfrey and Roseanna Lynn Jennings, one Great-Grandchild, Tasha Joanna Alfrey.

Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss him too.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Barkley Slone officiating.

Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery at Midland.

Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 6:00 P.M. Monday and anytime Tuesday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
