After graduating from Connersville High School, Diane went on to attend Ball State University. She dedicated herself to a career as a Family Service Advocate for Gateway Head Start. Her passion for social work was evident in the way she devoted herself to helping children and families.
Outside of work, Diane had many hobbies and interests that kept her busy. She loved reading books, cooking, watching all sports with enthusiasm, spending time with family at family functions, listening to music; just some of her ways to nourish her soul.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Annie Elizabeth Neely, her sister Donna Connell and her beloved dogs, Sammy, Bo, Normal, Daisy, Cleo and Coco.
Diane is survived by her four daughters: Emily Ann (Anthony) Burton, Melanie Diane Neely, Adriana Marie (Louis Aaron) Baldwin, Tiara Danckert and five sons: Ryan Robert Neely, Joshua Anthony Neely, Justin Daniel Neely, Joseph Cameron (Scott) Neely, Terrance Kent. She was also blessed with five grandchildren Isaiah Ryan Robert Neely, Jonah Anthony Neely, Briar Collins, Noah Neely and Amari Danckert, her brother-in-law, Daniel Connell and one special exchange student that became part of the family immediately - Lucas Castanheira”. Survivors also include her dogs, Sammy and Cain. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She always made sure to spend quality time with them whenever possible.
Diane's life was one marked by love and devotion- not only to her work but towards all those she knew. By her adopting, fostering and having foreign exchange students her kindness and generosity touched many lives, and she will be remembered forever. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.
