Christine Parsons
November 6, 1939 — December 29, 2015
Mrs. Christine Trent Parsons, 76, of Elliottville, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
She was born on November 6, 1939 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Jason and Edith Matthews Trent.
Mrs. Parsons was a member of the East End Church of God. Christine truly loved being a homemaker and she enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, canning, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Atlee Glennith “Ginnie” Parsons, who passed away on August 16, 2010, her son, Kendall Lee Parsons, who passed away on June 13, 2004, three brothers, Virda Junior Trent, Earnest Trent and Ivan Trent and six sisters, Clona Mickelson, Reba Jones, Nellie Dehart, Arizona Black, Jewell Jarrells and Hazel Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (John) Johnson of Morehead, two brothers, Vircil Trent and Vernon Trent both of Morehead, two grandchildren, Tella (Daniel) Howard and John Michael (Amber Tackett) Johnson, two-great-grandchildren, Cayson Howard and Dawson Howard and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Ray Glover and Brother Tim Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Parsons Family Cemetery in Elliott County.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Michael Johnson, Daniel Howard, Jason Brown, Timmy Brown, Edward Dehart, Bobby Reynolds.
