Christine Jennings

August 20, 1937 — October 4, 2010

Mrs. Christine Kidd Jennings, Age 73 of Dry Creek Road, Morehead, passed away Monday evening, October 4, 2010 in the University of Kentucky, Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

Born August 20, 1937 in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Davis and Myrtle Mae Lambert Kidd. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Jennings on January 23, 2001. Three brothers, Emmitt W. Kidd, Arthur Ray Kidd and Davis Kidd, Jr., One sister, Verna Kidd.

Mrs. Jennings was a homemaker and a retired bookkeeper for Jennings Excavating Company, the business her husband ran for many years. She enjoyed cooking, raising a garden and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by her son Gary Dale Jennings and his wife Teresa of Clearfield, Kentucky, her daughter, Rhonda Jean Peavler and her husband John of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Eight sisters, Gertrude Gilbert, Edna Ruth Walker, Elizabeth Trent, Kay Williams and Linda Kimsey all of Morehead, Kentucky, Lois Anglin of Grayson, Kentucky, Reba High of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Sue Fugate of Frankfort, Kentucky.

Five Grandchildren, Jamie DeHart and his wife Megan, Brent DeHart, Danielle Jennings, Jesse Jennings, and Tessa Jennings.

Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home is after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.

Pall Bearers will be Jamie DeHart, Brent DeHart, Jesse Jennings, Morris Williams, John High, Terry Fugate and Jim Kimsey.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Danielle Jennings, Tessa Jennings, Judy Terry, Lois Barker, Darlene Mynhier and Darlene Spencer.
