Carrie Ann Gilbert McClain

Carrie Ann Gilbert McClain, 47 of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at her home.

She was born on November 19, 1978, in Lima, Ohio, a daughter of the late Richard Gilbert and Carrie Martha Middleton Gilbert.

Carrie worked as a social worker for Pathways.

She enjoyed painting, gardening, crafts, road trips and most of all, spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Gilbert.

Survivors include her husband of over 28 years, Larry Wayne McClain, one son, David Wayne McClain (Rebecca) of Morehead, Kentucky, one daughter, Gracie Kiser of Salt Lick, one brother, Charles Michael Gilbert of Grayson, Kentucky, three sisters, Alice Ashlock (Buck) of Crestwood, Kentucky and Connie Gilbert and Paula Herron (Stephen) both of Grayson, three granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann McClain, Alexis Jean McClain and Kennedy Grace McClain and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

At her request, there will be no services or visitation.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home at 808 Old Flemingsburg Road in Morehead is caring for all arrangements for Carrie Ann Gilbert McClain.
