Bruce Mathews

Mr. Bruce Lonas Mathews, 79, of Grayson, passed away Monday morning, October 14, 2019 at his home.

He was born on January 31, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late Orbra Grant Mathews and Lydia Hunley Mathews.

Mr. Mathews was a retired concrete mason and he enjoyed listening to music and watching sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Lemaster Mathews and one sister, Orbra Jean Shepherd.

Survivors include one daughter, Amanda Mathews of Morehead, two sons, Steve Mathews of Union, Ohio and Dustin Mathews of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, one step-son, Brian Keith Williams of Brookville, Ohio, one brother, Everett Mathews of Eaton, Ohio, one sister, Evelyn Fugate of Ohio, seven grandchildren, Kendra Marshall, Kieran Fankell, Alivia Fankell, Jordan Mathews, Grace Mathews, Melissa Mathews Echerd and Aaron Mathews and seven great-grandchildren, Joshua Echerd, Elise Echerd, William Echerd, Isaiah Echerd, Vincent Haynie, Oliver Haynie and Octavia Mathews.

Memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 21, 2019 at New Beginnings in Grayson, Kentucky.
