Mrs. Betty Jo Lunsford Adkins Jones, 75, of Salt Lick formerly of Morehead, passed away Thursday in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

She was born on November 12, 1940 in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John and Bertha Snipes Lunsford.

Betty was a former nursing assistant.

She was a member of the Morehead First Church of the Nazarene and she enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Adkins in 1987, her second husband, Lowell Jones in 2006 and three brothers, Delmar Lunsford, Clinton Lunsford and Ott Lunsford.

Survivors include two sons, Allen (Libby) Adkins of Lexington and Albert Lee (Tara) Adkins II of Morehead, one daughter, Carolyn Sue Hamm (Kenneth Rickett) of Salt Lick, four brothers, Delbert Lunsford and James Lunsford both of Soldier, Glennis Lunsford of Morehead and Thurman Lunsford of Georgetown, two sisters, Lillian Cundiff of Grayson and Glenna Faye Fultz of Morehead, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Dale Richmond officiating.

Burial will follow in the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County.

Visitation is after 6 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
