Betty Catron

Mrs. Betty Jean Kidd Catron, 73, of Elliottville, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born on May 12, 1942 in Morgan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Della and Virginia Moore Kidd.
Mrs. Catron had worked at Cowden Manufacturing.
She was a member of New Home Christian Church and she enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Clevenger, Ray Kidd and Russell Kidd and one sister, Brenda Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Billie Lloyd Catron, one son, David (Melanie) Catron of Morehead, one daughter, Wilma Jean (Bob) Purnell of Elliottville, three brothers, Earl Kidd, Alvin Kidd and Billy Joe Kidd all of Morehead, four sisters, Elaine Wilson, Jewell Moore and Sue Jones all of Morehead and Nancy Boyd of Richmond, five grandchildren, Crystal Wright, Miranda Stigall, Robert Purnell, Jr., Kody Catron and Sadie Catron, two great-grandchildren, Connor Knight and Orianna Wright and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 3, 2016 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with John Bradley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Catron Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Purnell, Jr., Michael Boyd, Gary Moore, Alvin Kidd, Kevin Wright and Chris Stigall.
