Bernice Sloan Willoughby, 67 of Elliottville, Kentucky passed away Friday evening August 11, 2023 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born June 19, 1956 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Ted and Amanda DeHart Sloan.

Bernice was a homemaker and enjoyed yard sales, cooking collecting snow globes and Boyd's Bears, but most of all spending that special time with her grandchildren and family was very important to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Logan Manning Willoughby, her daughter, Tonya Willoughby Fraley, two sisters, Michelle Howard and Karen DeHart. Also one grandchild.

Survivors include four sons, Donnie (Barb) Willoughby of Morehead, David (Amanda) Willoughby of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Anthony (Wanda) Willoughby of Owingsville and Timmy (Tammy) Willoughby of Morehead. Three brothers, Donnie Sloan and Roy Sloan of Rowan County, Kentucky and Robert Sloan of Elliott County, Kentucky. Three sisters, Barb Mabry of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Geraldine Lowe and Patricia Johnson both of Morehead.. A son-in-law, Larry Fraley of Sandy Hook, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Bernice will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Trent Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 11:00 am Wednesday.

Pall bearers will family and friends.
