Mrs. Antoinette "Netty" DeAngelo Dlugosz, 91 of 426 North Wilson Avenue, Morehead, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at her home after an illness of several weeks.

She was born August 13, 1923 in Orange, New Jersey to the late James and Florence Pappalardo DeAngelo.

Netty was retired from United Airlines and was very active in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and the RSVP where she volunteered at the Rowan County Board of Education.

She enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing, cooking, knitting afghans for family members and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading and traveling.

Netty will be lovingly remembered for her quick wit, contagious smile, laughter and her ability to make friends easily.

Netty and Ted began their married life in New Jersey and later moved to Itasca, Illinois where they made their home for many years. They later moved to Ocean Gate, New Jersey where they were very active in the community. In later years they made their home in Danville, Kentucky. After her beloved husband passed away in 1998, Netty moved to Morehead, Kentucky to be near her daughter Karen and family.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore "Ted" Dlugosz in August 1998 and her sister Louise Savino.

Survivors include her son Ted Douglas and his wife Tina of Itasca, Illinois, daughter, Karen Doerrfeld and her husband Doug of Elliottville, Kentucky. Three grandchildren; Amanda Doerrfeld Anderson and husband Eric, James Douglas and wife Becky and John Douglas and wife Jenny. Two great-grandchildren; Harrison Douglas and Vivian Douglas. Special nieces, Gail Cahill, Lynn Fraser and Donna Campesi. Also several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening, December 29, 2014 at the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM.

There will be no funeral service.

Burial will be in New Jersey next to her husband.

Contributions are suggested to St. Claire Hospice.
