Alvia "Doodle" James Smith, 57 of Morehead, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at his home. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on April 29, 1963 to the late Roy Van Smith and Mary Wagoner Smith.

Doodle was a retired carpenter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children Shylar Smith of Rossville, Georgia, Kelli (Shannon) Mosher and Kasey-Beth Smith (Tyler) Robinson and Noah Martin all of Morehead.

One brother, Tony "Red" Smith of Morehead and one sister, Lula Timms of Commerce, Georgia. A special uncle Ora Wagoner of Morehead. Five grandchildren; Jadiah Smith, Cain Saunders, Eli Padgett, Layla Robinson and Paisley Mosher. A  grandchild expected in 2021. Also, several other relatives and friends.

Private memorial services will be conducted Monday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.

Covid-19 restrictions as mandated by the state will be adhered to.
