Alice Ponzell Littleton Helterbrand, 83, of Morehead, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Life Care Center of Morehead.
She was born on June 30, 1938 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Arch and Lorna Lewis Littleton.
Ponzell had worked as an inspector at Cowden’s Manufacturing and she was a member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
She was a great cook and she enjoyed drawing, art, painting, sewing and cookbooks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Edd Helterbrand, who passed away on May 1, 2020, four brothers, Dorris Ray Littleton, Guy Littleton, Orris Jay Littleton and Cephas Littleton, Sr. and four sisters, Agnes Back, Fern Hamm, June Richards and Jewell Howard.
Survivors include one son, Larry Littleton of Morehead, one brother, Philip Littleton of Chillicothe, Ohio, one sister, Teresa Helterbrand (Howard) of Morehead, two grandchildren, Brian Littleton (Nicole) and Wesley Helterbrand, two great-grandchildren, Taitum Littleton and Titus Littleton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Elder Noel Lee officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.
Visitation is after 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Philip E. Littleton, Richard Hamm, Cephas Littleton, Jr., Darrell Littleton, Anthony Littleton, Brian Littleton, Wesley Helterbrand and Stevie Helterbrand.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Stacy, Joe Stacy, Tim Stacy and Larry Stacy.
