Mr. Worley Bryce Charles, 73 of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, December 24, 2019 at his home.
He was born February 6, 1946 in Clearfield, Kentucky to the late Pink and Tressie Alice Carpenter Charles.
Worley was a retired Supervisor for Leon Coal and Kentucky May Coal Companies. He was a member and Elder of the Bairtown Church of God where he was also the overseer of maintenance for the church. He enjoyed the outdoors, coon hunting, fishing, all kinds of hunting, birdwatching, animals, gardening and trading. He also enjoyed going to church, gatherings, good home cooking and time with his family, especially his granddaughter Katie.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Julius Charles, Sr. and a sister Mildred Lois Charles.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Layne Charles. Three sons, Parnell Barnett and his wife Kristal of Paintsville, Kentucky, Derrick "Bumper" Wallace and his wife Emily of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Lewis McCraw and his wife Brittany of Emerson, Kentucky. One daughter, Alana Bradley and her husband Jacob of Statesville, North Carolina. Four sisters, Elaine Nash of Defiance, Ohio, Janet Lambert of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Nina Weaver of Corbin, Kentucky and Donna Lambert of Defiance, Ohio. Three grandchildren, Nate Barnett, Kaylee Barnett and Kathryn Wallace.
Also, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Bairtown Church of God in Elliott County with Brother Charles Glover, Brother, Elijah Wagoner, Brother Justin Wagoner, Brother Louie Harris and Brother Victor Mabry officiating.
Burial will follow in the Crisp-Fraley Cemetery in Carter County.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 5:00 P.M. Friday and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Bairtown Church of God.
Serving as pall bearers will be family and friends.
