Mrs. Vonda Blevins Steagall, 64, of Pikeville formerly of Morehead, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born on May 13, 1955 in Harlan, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Wiley and Geraldine Damron Blevins.
Vonda was a retired technician having worked at Quality Cabinets and Boneal. She had also been a volunteer teacher’s aide at Botts Elementary.
She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, fishing, camping, hiking, Facebook and playing games on her phone. Vonda was a previous sales representative for Avon and Tupperware.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Steagall, five brothers, Donald Ray Blevins, Jerry Randall Blevins, Paul Albert Blevins, Tommy Blevins and Danny Olley Blevins and one sister, Barbara Sue Blevins.
Survivors include one son, Paul Jackson of Georgia, daughters, Melissa Ann Hughes of Mt. Sterling and Jennifer Puckett and her husband, Stephen of Jeffersonville, one brother, Richard Lee Blevins of Detroit, Michigan, two sisters, Margaret White of Knoxville, Tennessee and Sherry Vance of Chilton, Alabama and grandchildren, Aaron Paul Jackson, Brian Burl Lykins II, Shayna Raelynn Aldridge, Courtney Nicole Hughes, Tristin Blake Hedges, Austin Hunter Puckett and Kaleb Daniel Puckett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 13, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Jess Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Cranston.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
