Robert Luther (“Bobby Sue”) Davis, 70, of U.S. 60 East, Morehead passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 5, 1948 in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Luther Harlan Davis and Clara Lee Brewster Davis.

Mr. Davis was retired from Weaver Sawmill, he was a member of the Church of God and was also an avid U.K. Basketball fan.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and going to yard sales and trading.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Harlan Davis, Hubert Davis, Harold Davis, Tommy Davis and Logan Davis and four sisters, Norma Jean Davis, Alma Jean Davis, Opal Mae Davis Eastin and Gloria Jean Davis Johnston.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Johnson Davis, two sons, Robert (Amy) Davis of Mt. Sterling and Scotty Purnell of Olive Hill, two daughters, Melissa Parker and Heather (Addie) Plank both of Morehead, one sister, Annie Marie Davis Whitt of Morehead, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Lansford May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Plank Family Cemetery.

Visitation is after 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Purnell, Austin Elliott, Cody Lewis, Josh Parker, Rick Stone and Tyler Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Darren Parker and Jason Davis..
