Ida Johnson

Ida Lee Mauk Johnson, 72, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday morning, August 13, 2019 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

She was born on January 31, 1947 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Langley Roosevelt Mauk and Catherine Fyffe Mauk.

Ida was a homemaker and a member of the Rock Fork Gospel Tabernacle.

She enjoyed writing, singing, playing the guitar, vegetable gardening and flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard Johnson, II, two sons, Charles Richard Johnson III and Joseph Lee Johnson, one daughter, Oleta Whisman, one brother, Elwood Mauk, one sister, Margaret Mauk and two grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Wayne Johnson (Tina) of Garrison and Dallas Johnson and Damon Johnson both of Greenup, three daughters, Elizabeth Fouch (Kenneth) of Morehead, Katie Johnson of Greenup and Linda Johnson of Huntington, West Virginia, one brother, Franklin (Donna) Mauk of Morehead, seven sisters, Betty Hall, Colleen Reed and Delphia (Eugene) Plank all of Morehead, Virgie Marie (Fred) Littleton of Hillsboro and Laura (Charlie) Skaggs and Kathy (Kenneth) Holbrook all of Sandy Hook and Mary Ann Littleton of Olive Hill, twenty-four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Robert Kidd officiating.

Burial will follow in the Frederick B. Mauk Cemetery.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Damon Johnson, Dallas Johnson, Johnny Whisman, Robert Schmauch and Joe Schmauch.
