Douglas Wallace

Douglas Wallace, 53, of Proctor Branch, Olive Hill, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born on February 3, 1964 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Chalmer and Juanita Jane Back Wallace.

Doug had been a sawmill worker, factory worker and a logger.

He was a member of the Limestone Apostolic Church and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Anthony William Wallace, one daughter, Loretta Wallace, one sister, Loretta Campbell and one grandchild.

Survivors include his wife, Mellisa Easterling Wallace, four sons, Stanley Douglas Wallace of Olive Hill, Arvis Curtis of Grayson, Brandon Curtis of Olive Hill and Travis Curtis of Morehead, two daughters, Susan Jane Wallace of Georgetown and Kierston Peyton Wallace of Olive Hill, four brothers, Virgil Wallace, Ralph Wallace and Marvin Wallace all of Morehead and Eddie Wallace of Richmond, five sisters, Ruth Fields of Culver, Indiana, Wanda Swartz of Olympia, Kathy Livingood of Carlisle, Luverne Fultz of Morehead and Tammy Adams of Somerset, five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Rick Crank officiating.

Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery at Blairs Mill.

Visitation is after 5 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Wallace, Dougie Wallace, Wayne Wallace, Tim Tucker, Stanley Wallace, Jeff Jordan, Ralph Wallace and Eddie Joe Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Peyton, Brandon Fultz and Scott Wallace.
