Chester LeRoy Woods, 62 of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Daniel Drake Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was born on May 15, 1957 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Bette M. Erwin and the late Thomas Carl Woods.
Mr. Woods worked at Bath Manufacturing and, was a graduate of Maysville Community College.
Chester enjoyed fishing, watching television, old cars and especially his little dog Gyro. He was also an avid UK Wildcat Basketball fan.
Chester was a born again Christian having accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Survivors include his mother Bette Campbell Erwin of Columbus, Ohio, one step son Tony Curtis of Tennessee, three step daughters Joanna Curtis of Owingsville, Amanda Crouch of Flemingsburg and Teresa Sexton, two brothers James Erwin and his wife Teresa and David Erwin and his wife Rhonda both of Marysville, Ohio, one sister Sharon Black of Morehead and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the Black Family Cemetery at Sharkey.
Visitation is from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. on Monday. June 3, 2019 at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.
