Allen Scott Black, 46, of Lower Licking Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born on February 2, 1973 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Roy Gene Black and Lovell Caldwell Black.

Allen had done farm worker, when he was young and he was of the Baptist Faith.

He loved animals, especially dogs and cats.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Johnson and their beloved dog, Scrappy, one brother, Alton Black and his wife, Paula and one sister, Sheila Lynn Calton and her husband, Ray all of Morehead, one nephew, Brandon Black, three nieces, Tracy Caldwell, Christina Bowen and Emily Caskey, a host of great-nieces and great-nephews and several other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Bluebank First Church of God with Rev. Jeff Fannin and Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.

Visitation at the Bluebank First Church of God is after 1:00 P.M. Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the funeral home to assist with the services.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is caring for all arrangements.
