Lillian Cundiff

Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth Lunsford Cundiff, 78, of Carter County, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

She was born on October 7, 1938 in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Rev. John Lunsford and Bertha Snipes Lunsford.

Mrs. Cundiff had worked as a cook at Life Care Center of Morehead.

She was a member of the Bowen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and doing crossword and word find puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kern Cundiff, who passed away on April 4, 1996, three brothers, Delmar Lunsford, Clinton Lunsford and Ott Lunsford, one sister, Betty Jo Jones and two grandsons, Brian Scott Cundiff and Kenneth John Cundiff.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Eugene (Brenda) Cundiff of Lexington and Johnny Kern Cundiff of Soldier, four brothers, Delbert Lunsford of Soldier, James Lunsford of Dry Branch, Glennis Lunsford of Upper Tygart and Thurman Lunsford of Georgetown, one sister, Glenna Faye Fultz of Morehead, two grandchildren, Courtney Cundiff (Kendrick Fankell) and Derek Cundiff, one step-grandson, Ryan Day, one step-granddaughter, Amanda (Ronnie) Day, one great-grandchild, Dorian Cundiff and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 17, 2017 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.

Burial will follow in the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Cundiff, Johnny Cundiff, Tracy Alley, Lee Adkins, Kathy Pernell and Joseph Barker.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Sunday at the funeral home.
